Mr Avinash Oak is a Gold Medallist from FTII, Film & TV Institute of India, Pune, in the year 1973. In 1974, Avinashji joined Western Outdoor, a leading music recording studio as an Assistant Sound Engineer and resigned as “Associate Director- Audio” in March, 2003. In 1986, he attended a special course for Studio Engineers at the University of Surrey, England. His recording experience is vast and covers recording of songs for Feature Films, Private Albums, Indian Classical, Ghazals, Indi-Pop, TV & Radio commercials, Sponsored Programs, Soundtracks for Son et lumière i.e. Light & Sound shows, Ballet Soundtracks, Audio Visuals & Corporate Videos. Presently he is a freelance engineer having his own consulting firm “AVISOUND”.

He is a life member of the Audio Engineering Society, Inc. USA. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award, by Indian Recording Arts Association (IRAA) in 2015. He is the recipient of the “Outstanding Contribution to the Music Industry, Jury Award” at Mirchi Music Marathi Awards 2018.
